Banana is a slightly sativa-dominant powerhouse, and a favourite of cannabis connoisseurs the world over. This California lady is one of the most potent strains on the market, with a taste that is just as distinctive. This is also why Banana is such a great strain for vaping or making into concentrates.

Previously known as Banana OG, she is easily recognised by her tropical taste and grand, emerald green buds speckled with golden pistils. The name might suggest that this is a little plant with no impact. The truth? This powerhouse packs an electrifying high with delicious sugary overtones. The breeders of this tasty little strain aimed to create a massive THC profile alongside a delicious terpene mix and rewarding yields. High levels of caryophyllene, humulene, and linalool are front and centre alongside an outstanding THC concentration of 27%.
Two now-legendary strains are responsible for this all-star: Gelato and Zkittlez. As a result, Runtz expresses notes of candy, citrus, and hops mixed with a creative and clean high that is euphoric, relaxing, and uplifting. This is a great strain to pair with casual outdoor activities or a cozy afternoon chat indoors by the fire. Just make sure to dose responsibly, as it’s easy to go overboard when sampling these scrumptious flowers.
Runtz is also a very pretty plant. She features a dark green core surrounded by purple-pink sugar leaves. Indoors, Runtz produces a reliable 450–500g/m² at the end of her 8–9-week flowering period. Plants grown outdoors can reach 180cm and provide up to 450g/plant come mid-October.
Sometimes known as the high queen of couchlock cannabis, Royal Gorilla is the dank chronic of this generation. This is the European version of the infamous Gorilla Glue. Within just a few tokes, it is easy to be impressed by this strain’s impressive punch—which is powered chiefly by a THC content of 27% or more. An exceptional body high takes effect after a brief cerebral surge.
No matter how popular today, the namesake of this lovely 50/50 hybrid was not preplanned, but rather an accident. Two American breeders created the strain after Chem’s Sis accidentally turned hermaphrodite and pollinated a Sour Dubb plant. In addition to her fierce effect, Royal Gorilla's flavour is also superb, and highly appreciated among connoisseurs for its earthy, sweet profile with hints of lemon and pine.
Royal Gorilla performs best in warm, dry climates. The bloom period is a standard 8–9 weeks. Her yields are not the highest, but it is quality, not quantity, that draws cultivators and smokers to her again and again. And her strong resin production will produce an abundance of trichomes, making this strain perfect for hash and concentrates.
This luscious strain hails from San Francisco. A cross between Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, Green Gelato has become a US export that is avidly sought worldwide. When it comes to potency, she does not disappoint, clocking in at 25%+ THC.
The flavour of this exclusive hybrid is like a blend of mint cookies and orange sherbet. Dominant Kush overtones top off the experience. The effects are euphoric at the beginning, ultimately melting into a deep sea of tranquillity, as one might expect from a slightly indica-dominant strain.
But that’s not all. She is also a beautiful plant. Her flowers form into small, tight clusters of green and lavender, especially with cooler nighttime temperatures later on in her grow cycle. This award-winning sativa-dominant strain, named after the alter ego of an anti-hero superhero in the Marvel comic series, has also been dubbed “the strongest strain on Earth”. Indeed, it won first place in the High Times “Most Potent Strain” contest in 2013. Bruce Banner 3 offers incredibly strong flowers that pack a 27% THC punch.
Just a single hit is enough to experience a rush of euphoria. Several more will initiate a strong mind-body high that is best reserved for times when you can fully indulge. This superhero strain is a cross between OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel, producing a wonderful concoction of sweet diesel aromas and flavours. This strain is highly sought after by those seeking a powerful soothing effect alongside a happy high. This strain even has some CBD thrown into the mix, which makes her even more intriguing. Regarding her unique flavour, notes of aromatic lemon and lime mix with satisfying hints of spice and wood for an earthy, herbaceous smoke.
Critical Kush is renowned for its incredible vigour and productivity. It performs well in all sorts of environments, and can be reared by novice cultivars as well as those with more experience. Beyond a Thin Mint Cookies and Sunset Sherbet background, Green Gelato Auto was infused with Cookies Auto to give her the autoflowering trait. The result is a 55% sativa, 40% indica, and 5% ruderalis mix that delivers all the goodness of Cookies, but is even easier and faster to grow.
