The Joint Doctor is a Canadian breeder that got into the big leagues thanks to its iconic Lowryder strain. Lowryder, or to be precise its successor Lowryder 2, was the first stable autoflowering strain on the market and caused a revolution in the world of cannabis breeders and growers.
Many breeders used Lowryder 2 to create new autoflowering varieties. Almost all autoflowering strains currently on the market contain the genetics of Lowryder 2 to a greater or lesser extent.
Lowryder is rumored to have been inbred for 9 generations to create a dwarf autoflowering cultivar designed for stealthy growers working with little more than a windowsill or balcony to grow on. And while many people were skeptical of the strain at first, Lowryder is now an iconic and popular variety.
Following the success of Lowryder 2, The Joint Doctor has been dedicated to breeding only autoflowering cannabis strains. It continues to renew and improve Lowryder, as well as create other auto strains including Easy Ryder, Purple Ryder, Chronic Ryder, Ogre, and more. These are all compact varieties, reaching around 70–90cm in height and producing between 30–80g/plant. Their exact genetic profiles vary, stemming from a mix of hybrid, sativa, and indica varieties.
Joint Doctor has won numerous awards for its strains, including a mention in High Times' Top 10 Canadian Strains.
