The cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis for recreational purposes are illegal in the Maldives.

Marijuana, especially hash oil, is widely used in the Maldives. But even though Maldives has no specific legislation for marijuana, any kind of possession is still illegal and can be punished.

We are not aware of any possible law changes in the (near) future in the Maldives regarding medical and/or recreational cannabis.
