RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA IN LAOS

The cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis for recreational purposes are illegal in Laos.

Some places in Laos are known as party places for tourists and weed is not hard to find in these places. Although you might even run into happy pizza places, which sell pizza with marijuana toppings, possession of cannabis is still illegal and can lead to severe punishment.

We are not aware of any possible law changes in the (near) future in Laos regarding medical and/or recreational cannabis.
