MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN NEPAL

The production, sale and possession of any form of medicinal marijuana products are illegal in Nepal.

RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA IN NEPAL

Nepal has a long history with cannabis and is known for its handrolled hashish called “charas”.

Before 1973 cannabis was not illegal in Nepal and there were many shops selling it legally. Under international pressure Nepal decided to criminalize any activity related to marijuana.

Although you will still be able to find some very good quality charas, possession or production of marijuana in Nepal is illegal and will be punished.

We are not aware of any possible law changes in the (near) future in Nepal regarding medical and/or recreational cannabis.
