The production, sale and possession of any form of medicinal marijuana products are illegal in Suriname.

RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA IN SURINAME

The cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis for recreational purposes are illegal in Suriname.

Suriname is known as popular drug trafficking country. Cannabis is the most popular drug of choice and is not hard to find although possession of cannabis is illegal and can lead to serious problems with the law.

We are not aware of any possible law changes in the (near) future in Suriname regarding medical and/or recreational cannabis.
